Margaret Riley Daley, daughter of Patrick and Mary Riley, was born in Co. Math(sic), Ireland, Dec. 25, 1832, departed this life Dec. 31, 1913, being 81 years old Christmas day. While quite young she was married to Bryant Daley and soon afterwards came to America and located in Montgomery co, where she has spent the remainder of her life. She has been a widow for 47 years. She was the mother of three children, Patrick Daley, Mrs. WC Brandon and Mrs. George W. Wert. The son preceded her some 38 years ago while her daughters survive her loss. She has 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren of whom she was very proud.l She was a devoted member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church and her life has been purity and goodness to those who knew her. She was never so happy as when she was doing good for others. She was a congenial neighbor, a devout mother and a loving grandmother. For 32 years she has made her home with her daughters - kbz

Many older citizens will remember Mrs. Dailey who lived on a farm just across Indian Creek from NB Reynolds' place. Bryant Daley her husband hanged himself while angry became some stock destroyed his garden. He was not related to the late Bryant Daley, who formerly lived here but the two Mrs. Daleys were sisters. As stated in the Biography, she was a kind hearted woman and a good neighbor kbz
